Author/illustrator Stephanie Ruble has been making art ever since she could hold a crayon, and making up stories since she learned to talk. She's currently working on new picture books, images for her portfolio, and drawing art for unusual holidays.
Her new picture book is: EWE AND AYE written by Candace Ryan, illustrated by Stephanie Ruble (http://sruble.com/books.html)
About the book: EWE was a sheep with a feel for wheels. AYE was a lemur with a thing for wings. BUT it wasn’t until Ewe and Aye found one another that things really got off the ground. Whimsical word play and heartfelt humor work hand-in-hand in this irresistibly vibrant celebration of the unlimited possibilities of togetherness.
About the dot: On the back cover of the book, Ewe and Aye are drawing a picture of a possible future adventure. For the dot, I imagined them drawing pictures about their current adventure and retelling their story.

Matt describes his dot "My celebridot is a painting of the baseball that inspired my first book, Zachary's Ball. In the summer of 1995, I was walking near Fenway Park before a game, and saw a ball land in the net above the green monster as I was passing underneath it. I decided to stop and see if any more home run balls came over the wall. I had only been there for about a minute when another ball came flying right over the net. It bounced a few times and settled into a ditch next to the sidewalk, where I picked it up. A year later I started working on my senior thesis, a picture book about a boy who gets a magic baseball at Fenway. Since this ball sparked the idea that started my career (and since it happens to be dot-shaped), I thought it would be a good subject for my celebridot."
